Who
We Are . . .
Adam
Jenkins, age 37, is a native north westerner from Port Townsend WA.
He began sailing at age eleven on his father’s plywood Thunderbird,
acquired his Master Mariners license at 18 years old and began working
as a captain aboard Puget Sound charter boats.
Much
of his real sailing and cruising experience came from a single handed
voyage begun in 1991. This cruise took him down the Pacific Coast to
Panama, where Saint Brendan, his 27 foot sloop transited the Panama
Canal. Sailing North from the canal they set out to circumnavigate the
Caribbean and explore the Eastern Seaboard. During the six year cruise,
Adam made his living as a professional charter and delivery captain
working aboard many different types of vessels through out the Caribbean
and both coasts of the Americas. This experience taught him the lessons
of what is logical and what is not when preparing for a voyage or a
trip on the bay.
Returning to Seattle 1996 Adam started Yacht Logic while working as
a luxury yacht broker. Focusing primarily on yacht delivery in the beginning,
soon Yacht Logic began to acquire state and government contracts to
develpoe and operate small research vessels on the east and west coasts
of America and in the Antarctic.
Adam
and his wife Catherine, enjoy living in Southern California where they
sail there Tartan 34C when not sailing aboard a clients vessel.
